Doug Bruchs is a principal at Cadeo. He specializes in helping utilities and regional efficiency organizations determine the energy impacts of their programs, while simultaneously identifying opportunities for improvement and planning for the future. One of Doug’s greatest strengths is the breadth of his experience. Having worked in energy efficiency since 2002, he’s taken on just about every role our industry has to offer: field technician, lead analyst, project manager, research designer, long-term strategist and more. Through these diverse experiences, Doug has learned how to support efficiency industry stakeholders in their overarching goal to offer, and continually improve, high-quality efficiency programs. Prior to joining Cadeo in 2014, Doug was a senior associate with the Cadmus Group, where he led multi-year impact and process portfolio evaluations for utilities in Massachusetts and Missouri.
Doug holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at San Diego and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University. He loves hiking and camping with his two adventurous children, trying not to injure himself while playing basketball, and generally making the most of Portland’s limited—but glorious—sunshine.
