Bretnie Eschenbach

Bretnie brings two decades of energy efficiency and building systems work experience to her role as associate director at Cadeo. She is a valued part of the company’s engineering leadership, where her experience in residential and commercial building performance, integrated systems—including HVAC, lighting, water heating, refrigeration, and controls—inform a range of research and market development projects. At Cadeo she engages in a variety of engineering research from engaging manufacturers to improving the efficiency of heat recovery ventilators to investigating HVAC market trends to updating assumptions for residential energy efficiency. She is also a force of organization, keeping projects on track and ensuring Cadeo meets client expectations for quality and timeliness.

Bretnie came to Cadeo from Seattle City Light where she worked with commercial customers as a Senior Energy Management Analyst and before that, she managed energy for the National Park Service’s west coast facilities. She holds a B.A. in Communication from Southwestern University and is a Certified Energy Manager. Don’t be surprised if she asks about the latest book you’ve read.
