Nate Baker

As an associate director, Nate Baker provides crucial leadership and expertise to Cadeo’s emerging tech team. Nate leverages his background in industrial facilities to support Cadeo projects. His contributions include research into industrial energy consumption, clean energy program development and design, and regulatory review. His work with Cadeo has focused on increasing energy efficiency in motor-driven equipment and characterizing the impact energy-efficient technology has had in the industrial sector. He leads multiple projects aimed at understanding emerging technologies in that space, modeling energy consumption of pumps and fans, and understanding operating characteristics of different motor driven technologies. Nate also provides technical expertise to Cadeo’s team that supports the development of energy conservation standards and test procedures for commercial and industrial equipment.

Prior to joining Cadeo, Nate worked with Nalco Water. There, he helped manufacturing facilities and commercial buildings optimize water, air, and energy consumption surrounding large-scale HVAC and boiler systems. Nate has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Additionally, he brings six years of experience in research and efficiency engineering. In his spare time, Nate enjoys spending time outside hiking and backpacking or building something in a dusty woodshop.
