Peter Kernan

Peter brings to Cadeo a decade of energy systems and building science experience. Prior to joining Cadeo, Peter engaged in diverse elements of the energy efficiency ecosystem, from direct home auditing to technical consulting for financing, policy, and program evaluation. His passion for reducing energy use and emissions drives his work for the Emerging Tech team as they help clients understand the rapidly evolving energy landscape. Previously, Peter worked as Program Director of the in-homes services team at Community Energy Project. There, he led the charge of weatherization, repair, and energy efficiency improvements. He also helped design and launch direct installation Heat Pump Water Heater programs serving low-income households. Successful implementation included documenting and communicating equitable and quantifiable energy, cost, and carbon savings. His clients included the Energy Trust of Oregon and Electrify Now.

Peter holds a B.A. in Environmental Science from Colorado College and is a certified Building Performance Institute Building Analyst. Outside of work, he is often in the mountains. He appreciates the time disconnected from the outside world to read, write, and enjoy the company with others.
