As a senior associate, Ethan specializes in characterizing markets by identifying and analyzing trends in technology sales data and using those insights to identify energy efficiency opportunities in the market. Ethan uses his expertise in economics and data analysis to provide insight to Cadeo’s market research projects and has developed processes that have transformed Cadeo’s ability to acquire hard-to-reach data sources. In addition to his ample analytical and technical skills, Ethan takes pride in communicating findings in simple, intuitive ways.
Prior to joining Cadeo, Ethan worked as a market analyst for ISO New England. In this role, he leveraged ISO data to identify manipulative financial behaviors and to assess market competitiveness in wholesale energy markets. Leaning on his passion for simplifying the complex, he brought transparency to policy impacts and market structures that helped inform ISO stakeholder decision-making. Previously, Ethan constructed and implemented an analytical framework to evaluate child protective services policy as an independent research consultant and assisted with research projects at Montana State University in health, education, and sports economics.
He holds a B.S. in Economics and an M.S. in Applied Economics from Montana State University. In his free time, Ethan likes to ski, backpack, and visit food trucks.
